MOUNTAIN LAUREL HOUSE

In the family for many generations, a couple wanted to transform their forest cabin getaway into a place for longer term stays to accommodate aging in place. Located on the Rappahannock River, the new design accommodates friends, guests, and their adult children for a place to spend time together and connect with nature. The project includes significant exterior additions, including a new guest wing and a second story primary suite. Interiors were also fully gutted and redesigned to modernize the cabin into a family space. Work was completed while Dhara Goradia was the Project Architect and Project Manager at Thrive Architecture.
